Californian Tree Poppy
The Californian Tree Poppy revels in our summer heat especially in dry sandy soils. Endemic to the dry chaparral areas of southern California and northern Mexico, this poppy is well adapted to Australian conditions and will thrive in any sun-drenched spot in the garden, even with little attention.
Full sun, sheltered from strong winds, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back after flowering to reinvigorate for next season. Generous self seeder.
