Plant as a leafy cover crop to suppress weeds then turn into the soil for an excellent green manure. Buckwheat flowers are fragrant and make a wonderful addition to tall flowering wildflowers such as cosmos and cornflower that the bees flock to. It can also be used to make buckwheat flour from an area as small as one square metre. Enough seed to cover 5 square metres.
