An edible flower with a mild, sweet scent, Moluccella laevis adds charm to a cottage garden, especially when positioned towards the rear of the garden where the strong vertical flower spires add height and colour to landscape. Bells of Ireland
For successful growth, chill the seeds for a week, then soak them for 24 hours before planting. Remember, don't cover the seeds as they need light for germination. Regular cutting of flower stems promotes side shoots, ensuring a bountiful display.
