Achillea 'Hella Glashoff'
The clump forming base features feathery foliage while the tall flowerheads bring colour and contrast to the garden, blending seamlessly with other clumping foliage and vertical flowers. Attracts beneficial insects and pollinators to the garden. An outstanding inclusion in the perennial border, cut flower garden or cottage garden.
Achilleas prefer a position in full sun in a free-draining soil. Tolerant of poor soils, drainage is paramount, so incorporate grit and raise beds to improve drainage if necessary. Water periodically throughout summer for optimal growth and flowering, although plants will tolerate drought once established. Avoid waterlogged soils. Do not over-fertilise as achilleas may show reduced flowering in highly fertile soils. Cut back spent flower stems to induce repeat flowering. Tolerant of frost. Dislikes humidity. Cut back in winter to a low clump to encourage fresh spring growth.
