Landscaping with zinnias

Smaller zinnia varieties will do especially well in pots and provide a splash of colour for balconies and patios. 

Zinnias within the garden 

Choose smaller varieties for border plantings and larger ‘giants’ for a gorgeous focal planting. Plant zinnias en masse for long lasting, colourful ‘summer field’ displays. Choose complimentary hues to create your own summer garden art display, combining a range of heights to produce a layered effect. Progressive plantings can ensure that you enjoy a long flowering season. 

Zinnias as cut flowers

These showy flowers are perfect for the vase. With their proud rigid blooms, they make excellent cut flowers with other zinnias or as a mixed arrangement. Pick flowers that have a strong firm stem to maximise flower longevity. Be sure to deadhead blooms to encourage a longer flowering season. Zinnias last well in vases but are not suitable for refrigeration.

Beneficial insect attractant

Zinnias are known for attracting nectar feeding pollinators and butterflies to your garden, making them the perfect companion for your vegetable patch.

Wildflowers

Zinnias with simplified flowers such as 'Red Spider' are great candidates to use with wildflower seed mixes. Exceeding expectations, these hardy garden gems will perform through hot-tough conditions and in competition with other plants.
