Tulip 'Ile De France'

A Triumph Tulip, Tulip 'Ile De France' is selected for it's perfect velvety red petals, classic fluted shape and suitability to growing in gardens and pots. Long-lasting in the garden and vase.

How to grow

Tulips need at least six hours of sun a day to flower at their best but keep them protected from afternoon sun. Tulips prefer a soil enriched with organic matter, but require excellent drainage. Dig a hole as deep as three times the bulb width. Place the tulip in the hole with the tip up and roots downward. Cover with soil, give a little bit of water and wait for the magic to happen. If you live in warm climates, place bulbs in the crisper section of the fridge for 4 to 6 weeks before planting. After flowering and all leaves have turned brown, remove the bulb from the soil. Store in a cool, dry and airy position in either newspaper or a brown-paper bag.
