Blue Spike Sage

Growing well in almost any soil or position, Blue Spike Sage, also known as Bog Sage, will flower from late spring until later winter, and in some positions will spot flower even throughout the cooler months, making it a valuable plant for attracting bees to your garden for most of the year. Fast growing, herbaceous, evergreen perennial, native to Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Adds structure and colour to the border for a long period. Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
How to grow

Full sun, highly adaptable to a range of soil conditions from wet to dry. Prune close to the ground in winter to encourage new growth in spring. Frost and coast hardy once established.
