Full/part shade, ideal beneath deciduous tree canopies. Enjoys moist conditions. Frost tolerant, though young leaves should be protected. Remove spent flowers and tattered leaves from the base to keep plants healthy and vibrant. Protect foliage from snails and slugs. Water generously as the plant dies back in autumn to help it prepare for winter dormancy. Fertilise well in the growing season, they do go dormant in Winter and will reemerge in Spring.
