Firewheel Tree
An Australian rainforest tree native to the tropics and sub-tropics but highly adapted to all Australian climates, although trees will be smaller in cooler areas than they are in their native climate. Flowering improves with age, with many trees starting to flower from 7 years. Highly decorative and a lovely addition to the garden and treescape.
How to grow
Plant in a permanent position in full sun or part shade. Soils should be free-draining and are best improved with organic matter prior to planting. Stake if necessary. Water regularly, especially during long hot dry summers until plants become established.
