NEW. Small superb early Autumn flowering Colchicum. Petals have distinct chequer plate markings on the brilliant deep mauve petals.Open flowers are followed by surprisingly substantial leaves. Flowers earlier than Colchicum byzantinum. From the Mediterranean this bulb is hardy and suitable for climates with dry summers in Australia. (3 bulbs) Bulbs despatched late November.
How to grow
Colchicums are adored for the clasped bloom that emerges and sits floating above the soil. Colchicums originate from both steppes and woodlands. These species are hardy and tolerate partial sun and full sun conditions.
