Workshop

Level up your indoor
gardening with Kokedama

Brought to you by The Diggers Club

Your Workshop

Get ready for the warm weather and the gift giving season by working on your indoor gardening prowess with the century's old art of Japanese moss ball cultivation - Kokedama. You’ll work though plant and soil selection and preparation as well as options for placement and staging of your indoor garden art. Exploring Kokedama opens a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to collating and curating indoor plant collections.

You will leave with your very first, handmade Kokedama and all the information and inspiration to go forth and go wild with your new found skills. Learn how to wrap your indoor plants in their own living, breathing ecosystem. A plant potting mat and snips are included so you can keep your moss ball making rolling along at home.

Workshops together are always so much fun, why not book your bestie in too? This workshop is timed perfectly for you to go home and start making Christmas presents for all your plant loving friends too.

What will you learn?

  • What to think about when making plant palette choices
  • Selection and adjustment of growing media according to the plants you would like to grow
  • Aesthetic and practical points to account for when choosing wrapping materials
  • Consideration of maintenance requirements
  • How to take your future moss ball projects to the next level once you have had some wrapping experience with your very first Kokedama.

Why not visit the Garden of St Erth Cafe for lunch before or after the workshop?
