Extremely important to the native peoples within its range and considered a sacred tree, at nut harvest time custodians of the trees travelled through surrounding districts inviting attendance at bunya feasts where traditional ceremonies, hunting and corroborees took place. How to grow
Plant in full sun or part shade, adaptable to soil types but requires good drainage. Frost and drought tolerant once established.
