Corn 'Sweet White' F1

The shiny white kernels are super sweet and so rich they taste like they are already buttered. Plump yellow and white kernels like this cannot be found in the shops.
How to grow

Corn demands a rich, well prepared soil with a neutral pH. Corn is greedy for nutrients, so plant after a crop of peas or broad beans. Sow directly into the bed once risk of any frost has passed. Sow corn in blocks rather than rows to aid pollination. If you grow only a few plants, shake the male flower at the top of the plant to release pollen onto the silk, which is part of the female flowers to improve pollination. Mulch well. Harvest corn when the kernels give out a milky substance when pierced, the fluid will be watery if not yet ripe.
