Developed by German settlers in the Barossa Valley and named after that colourful Aussie parrot, 'Corella' produces a profusion of small-medium greeny-yellow pears that blush with red on the sunny exposed side late in the season. A low-vigour tree perfect for espalier, use as a small specimen tree or as a dual-purpose pear suitable for avenue plantings as well as orchards. Produces a crisp, sweet pear suitable for eating firm or soft. Pollinated by 'Faccia Rosa' and 'San├┐Giovanni'.
