Citrus Trees

Citrus Rootstocks: The type of rootstock your tree is grafted to will impart important disease resistance and influence the cold tolerance and size of your tree. 1 Trifoliata rootstock is a cold tolerant deciduous species that is considered a ‘dwarfing’ stock due to its slow growth rate. 2 Flying Dragon rootstock is a lower vigour and more cold tolerant mutation of trifoliata. Both of these rootstocks are ideal cooler climates and heavier soils. 3 Citrange rootstock is tolerant of alkaline soil conditions but intolerant of poor drainage so best for sandy and loam soils.
