Calendulas have been cultivated for centuries for their medicinal and culinary attributes. The oils in the petals are extracted to make skin healing balms, or used to make dyes or the edible petals simply tossed through a salad to add colour and vitality. It is a proud and lasting cut flower and companion plant.
