Teucrium Betonicum
A small-to-medium evergreen shrub with both foliage and flower appeal year-round. Soft sage-green leaves with ruffled margins clothe a dense shrub, which is complemented by small spikes of purple flowers held above the foliage through spring and summer. A tough dry and frost-tolerant long-term performer in the grey garden or dry border in full sun or light shade.
Both heat and frost hardy, this tough evergreen shrub performs in full sun or light shade. Drought tolerant once established, it thrives in any well drained soil. Remove spent flower spikes to promote repeat flowering. Prune by a third after flowering in late summer to maintain density.
