Sweet Mace Aka 'Mexican Tarragon'

Tagetes lucida

Fragrant leaves are reminiscent of a mix between tarragon and anise and can be used as a substitute for French Tarragon. Ideal for making herbal vinegars or dry the leaves for a warming herbal brew. The long-lasting clusters of small yellow flowers are a magnet for bees, and the petals have a refreshing minty flavour so are a great addition to salads. Also known as Mexican Tarragon, or Mexican Mint Marigold. Plant near patios to deter pests.
