Saffron Crocus (9 bulbs)

This code includes 9 bulbs.

How to grow

Plant saffron bulbs while dormant (from Dec to April), at approx. 5cm deep, pointy end upward. Plant in full sun in a soil enriched with aged manure and decomposed compost. Soil should be free-draining, if not raise beds to improve drainage or plant in pots. Mediterranean bulbs, saffron are drought hardy, so water only when necessary. Flowers appear in autumn, and the threads are ready to harvest when fully open. Leaves will appear after flowering. If left in situ, bulbs will multiply, increasing your harvest each year.
