Raspberry 'Chilliwack'
Described by experts from the Centre of Plant Breeding as "the world's best raspberry" this mid-season fruiting raspberry was introduced in the 1980s and is widely grown for it's large fruit and winter tolerance. A Canadian variety named for the town on the eastern edge of British Columbia’s Fraser Valley, this variety was once widely planted as a commercial crop in that area, but has now become more of a backyard variety because it is best consumed fresh from the cane.
How to grow
FLORICANE - These raspberries fruit on second year wood. Prune after fruiting, but only remove the canes that have already produced fruit.
