Pulsatilla ‘Red Bells’
Readily naturalising to form a wildflower meadow, this hardy perennial is drought-tolerant once established. Flowers throughout spring with crocus- like flowers in a deep maroon-red followed by charming, fluffy seedheads. The ideal companion to hot-coloured spring flowering bulbs.
Pulsatilla have deep tap roots. Plant and avoid disturbing once established. If left in situ, plants will naturalise. Avoid waterlogged sites and soils. Suited to most soils types but does prefer alkaline conditions.
