Pomegranate ‘Mollar de Jativa’
A popular pomegranate for juicing with bright red flowers throughout spring and summer, followed by red fruit in autumn. An excellent juicing variety that is high in antioxidants.
How to grow
Pomegranates grow well in areas with cold winters and hot, dry summers. Drought tolerant once established, pomegranates will also tolerate coastal conditions and frost. Water during fruiting to improve quality and fruit set. Plant in a free-draining soil as trees dislike waterlogging. Plants are self-fertile but yield is improved with cross-pollination.
