Penstemon 'Evelyn'
A delightful and classic variety with delicate tubular pink flowers on glossy green, fine leaved compact plants. 'Evelyn' will appeal to any gardener looking for pastel shades which work brilliantly in the front of a border. This ever popular variety originated in at least 1934 from the famous Slieve Donnard Nursery in Northern Ireland and holds an award of garden merit from the RHS.
How to grow
Penstemon are a popular cottage garden plant with long lasting blooms which will attract beneficial insects to your garden. Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers. Cut plants back to 20cm after any risk of frost has passed.
