Olive 'Picual'
A standard of the Spanish olive oil producers, this cultivar is the highest oil-yielding olive, suited to cold winters and hot dry summers, making ‘Picual’ ideal for inland regions of Australia. It is self-fertile but can benefit from cross pollination, suggested cross-pollinator is Arbequina.
How to grow
Growing in a wide range of Australian conditions, olives are tolerant of poor soils, but grow best in a well-drained fertile soil. Fertilise in spring and summer and water during flowering and fruit set if required.
