Olive 'Italian Leccino'
A fast-growing productive variety that makes a delicate style of olive oil and a delectable table olive. The dense habit makes this an ideal choice for a hedge or for training against a wall – in fact, this is the olive for hedging. It does best with cross pollination with varieties such as Frantoio and Arbequina.
Growing in a wide range of Australian conditions, olives are tolerant of poor soils, but grow best in a well-drained fertile soil. Fertilise in spring and summer and water during flowering and fruit set if required.
