Leek 'Bulgarian Giant'
A majestic heirloom leek that lives up to its name, ‘Bulgarian Giant’ produces towering, thick white stalks with a mild, sweet flavour. Exceptionally cold-hardy and robust, this variety is perfect for adding depth to soups, stews, and braises, or simply grilled to bring out its subtle sweetness.
Sow seeds in late winter to early spring for a late summer to autumn harvest. Enjoys rich, well-drained soil and plenty of moisture. As the leeks grow, hill up the soil around the base to encourage longer white stems.
