Hellebore 'Smokey Blue'
Bred in Victoria, this, like most hellebores, dislikes humidity and will not do well in sub-tropical and tropical climates.
Hellebores are resilient garden plants and are best grown in the ground. Plant in part shade and water regularly during dry periods and establishment. Remove old foliage when new growth appears in autumn. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or quality compost at this time too. Watch for aphids and spray if necessary. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage increased flowering.
