Slow growing, water regularly during hot dry months, especially while plants are establishing. Prune regularly to maintain a compact habit or if training to topiary or as a hedge. Growing in pots can help to keep plants more compact. Avoid disturbing root zone as tree may sucker. If suckers emerge remove at ground level.
