Saving your Heirloom Seed

Have you always wanted to collect and save seeds from your garden but are just not really sure how?

This is the perfect workshop for beginners to understand open pollination, and the science and art behind seed saving.

Learn basic techniques on how to collect and store vegetable and flower seeds from your home garden, as well as some more advanced techniques of harvesting, cleaning and longer term storage.

Plants produce useful seed as a part of their normal life cycle. By collecting your own seed from heirloom plants, you take control over your own food supply, and create an inheritance for other gardeners in your family.

Presented by Jac Semmler. Jac is our Seed Manager and is passionate about all things plants and seeds. She is also a qualified Horticulturist with a background in outdoor education and sustainability.
