Soil Ecology, Compost and Green Manures

Saturday 21st April at 10.00am

Before you plant anything, whether it’s a fruit tree, a flower bed or a vegetable patch, the most important step is preparing your soil first.

If your soil is full of nutrients, is well drained, aerated, and full of microbial life, then your plants will have the best growing conditions possible.

Plants will produce strong vigorous growth, be less prone to disease, will crop far better, need less water, and simply be much happier in the rich environment thay are planted in.

This very popular workshop will cover every aspect of nourishing your soil, with plentiful interaction and time for questions.

Remember, healthy soil makes a healthy garden!

Presented by Keith Edwards. Keith (B.AppSci Landscape Architecture) has years of bountiful experience designing gardens both residential and commercial all over Australia, and has been with The Diggers Club for over a decade. Sharing all things gardening is Keith's main love.
