Book a garden tour
We look foward to your group visiting Heronswood.
Heronswood offers so much to visitors. The property was originally the holiday destination for Melbourne University’s first Professor of Law, William Hearn, who employed Edward Latrobe Bateman to design Heronswood house in 1866. Now, after 8 owners over time, it is home to The Diggers Club who use the gardens to showcase the evergreen fruits, vegetables and flowers featured in our magazines.
The gardens feature five separate vegetable gardens and large plantings of flowers with views out over Port Phillip Bay, and can be enjoyed at any time of year.
On your tour, a map and brochure of the garden will be supplied to each visitor on arrival and the tours are conducted by our knowledgable gardeners.
To book a garden tour, download this BOOKING FORM, fill in your group's details and post or fax it back to us.
Due to the busy nature of the Mornington Peninsula during the summer months it is difficult for us to accommodate all bus tours.
If you wish to make an enquiry or book a group tour please email bookings@diggers.com.au
Please note that we are unable to take any bus tours on weekends, public holidays and over January.
