Accessibility

At Heronswood House and Garden we are committed to providing access to all, we actively work to identify and remove barriers to allow access and promote inclusion. A qualified consultant has written a Disability Management Plan to ensure that as much as possible of this historic property is accessible and welcoming for all.

Unfortunately, due to the garden’s historic significance, and the steep incline of the property, there are areas of the garden which have limited access for wheelchairs and walking frames.

We have implemented the attached plan to ensure that the, Restaurant is accessible for wheelchair and walker access from the lower disabled car space (between the Palms) and entrance gate. Please press the intercom system for assisted access through the gate and entrance to the Restaurant.

The Diggers Garden Shop and the Education Centre are accessible from the disabled car space at the top of the carpark.

We welcome your enquiries and feedback on ways we can make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
