Soil, composting, green manures and worms!

Sunday 15th April at 12.00 noon

Before you plant anything, whether it’s a fruit tree, a flower bed or a vegetable patch, the most important step is preparing your soil first.

If your soil is full of nutrients, is well drained, aerated, and full of microbial life, then your plants will have the best growing conditions possible.

Plants will produce strong vigorous growth, be less prone to disease, will crop far better, need less water, and simply be much happier in the rich environment thay are planted in.

This very popular workshop will cover every aspect of nourishing your soil, with plentiful interaction and time for questions.

Remember, healthy soil makes a healthy garden!

Presented by Hugh Hunkin. Hugh holds a degree in Environmental Science and a Permaculture Design Certificate, and he previously spent four years working as part of The Diggers Adelaide team.
