Bloomin' Great Berries

Sunday 20th May at 12 noon

Imagine stepping out into your garden and returning with bowls of jewel-like berries, freshly harvested and ready to eat. Berries are one of the most delicious, healthy and enjoyable crops for the home gardener.

Avoiding the expensive supermarket price-tag and having enough to not just eat fresh but also to freeze or preserve for later, and even share amongst your family and friends - you'll be the most popular neighbour in the neighbourhood!

At this ultimate berry workshop, Steve Burns, the very entertaining Scot, will teach you all about soil preparation, berry varieties, planting techniques , propagation, trellising, irrigation, pruning, and the complete care and maintenance of berries.

So if you are interested in growing raspberries, currants, cane berries and blueberries, this is definitely the workshop for you!

Presented by Hugh Hunkin. Hugh holds a degree in Environmental Science and a Permaculture Design Certificate, and he previously spent four years working as part of The Diggers Adelaide team.
