Plums are one of the easiest stone fruit to grow and have been cultivated for thousands of years. The Japanese plums are larger and juicier than the European plums and have the sub-group of Blood Plums that have red flesh. All other plums have yellow flesh. Whatever plum you plant, they are worth planting for their spring blossoms alone.
