Autumn Festival at St Erth

Come along to the garden of St Erth over Labour Day weekend for their annual autumn festival. Join in a free garden tour, book into a masterclass or take part in a free workshop. Support local producers by purchasing their wares at our produce market on Sunday and Monday and don’t forget to stop by the St Erth shop to buy all your perennials and fruit trees for autumn planting.
Free Workshops
Come along to our free workshops and learn about:
- Growing Ornamental Bulbs at 10.30am
- Autumn seed sowing at 12.30pm
- Worm Farming at 2.30pm
Garden Tours
Learn about the history of St Erth and its beautiful garden by taking part in a free garden tour with our expert gardeners. Tours run at1pmand3pm

All about Soil
Join Ian Munro, CEO of Munash Natural Fertilisers, and Keith Edwards, Diggers own composting expert, and learn everything you need to know to achieve an ideal soil structure in your own backyard, from pH to getting the right balance of nutrients, composting and more. Includes a light lunch.

Berrylicious workshop
St Erth head gardener, Julian Blackhirst, will teach you everything you need to know about growing and caring for cane berries. Includes a berrylicious themed morning tea and a tour of the St Erth berry garden and food forest.

Gardens of a Golden Afternoon
Join Clive Blazey at the Garden of St Erth and David Glenn at Lambley Nursery for a personal guided tour of two of Victoria’s finest perennial gardens. Hear about Clive and David’s vision behind the creation of their gardens and learn about the vast range of perennials they’ve used to create them. Diggers members free, $10 visitors. Entry is paid at the gardens on the day.
