Fork to Fork at Heronswood
105 Latrobe Parade, Dromana
Melways 159 C9
At Heronswood’s Fork to Fork café we are striving to work in harmony with nature. We only use fruit and vegetables which are in season, regional and organic. Many of our vegetables are heirloom varieties from the Heronswood garden that you may well have never seen or tasted before, purple carrots or green and yellow tomatoes all dripping with freshness and flavor. By supporting local growers and producers we support the local economy, less food miles, environmentally sustainable agriculture.
Chef Luke Palmer visits the garden for inspiration. After viewing what looks good Luke designs a menu for the day. It may freshly harvested chioggia and bulls blood beetroots with horseradish cream, baby fennel & citrus segments or five color silverbeet sautéed with garlic & lemon zest.
Our signature dish is the Heronswood Plate ($30). Up to 12 components are provided for you to mix and match. The professional front-of-house team are always on hand to assist and explore the menu with you. A range of entree size dishes are also on offer, maybe a caramelized onion & goats cheese tartlet ($16), a house cured ocean trout ($16), hand made linguini with seafood ($22) or a wild mushroom risotto ($19).
Fresh scones and muffins are also baked every morning for morning & afternoon tea.
